My first two painted minis for my Blood Angels. These eradicators were gifted to me to get into the hobby by a friend, I couldn’t decide how I wanted to paint them and coming from Bolt Action I wanted to do two proper test models with the bigger figures.
The black base was primed black, then followed Sprue Goons contrast corner videos, dry brush of dark gray, light gray, then white, and blood angels contrast for the armor. I used grim black speed paint for the black and then the other details are traditional acrylics.
The red base was more traditional, following army painted guide to an extent. Spray primed Mephiston red, did an all over black wash, then details using various acrylics. I didn’t have a matte black so I was stuck with the speed paint over red for now, which is why a lot of red shows through on the weapon still.
I think I prefer the contrast method and look, but not enough to fully decide yet so going to play around some more. Appreciate any thoughts!
