Hello, I received my training date and I expected it to be a lot sooner than it is. I appreciate having extra time at current job to save up, but have a conflict during training that I didn’t foresee since I expected training to be finished by the time of this conflict.

I was wondering how late class typically goes on Saturdays. Depending on this, I may be able to swing it with this conflict. I don’t think I want to risk requesting to postpone training since I am not totally sure how that works, but wanted to get an idea of how long class days are on Saturdays to know if it’s a possibility that I may be able to make this work.

Hi everyone! I’ll be starting UA training in July. I have seen ORD, SFO, and EWR often be where new FAs get initially based (totally correct me if I’m wrong) And of those, I’d love EWR as I just love the city. (but would be happy with any base)

But wondering if there is anyone out there who is based in EWR and commute from Manhattan?

Curious what that experience is like, how you make it work as a more junior FA with starting pay, etc. I’m not looking for a high rise studio or anything by any means lol I’d be fine with a crappy prewar walkup with like 4 roommates.

I wondered if this also could make sense or is justified by the fact that EWR based flight attendant sometimes work flights out of LGA? But not sure how common that is.

I think I’d be happy with like Hoboken or Jersey City if Manhattan wasn’t a possibility but just curious if my longtime dream job as an FA could also at some point overlap with my longtime dream of living in the city 😊
