Pictures are in the post!!

Hiya! I'm moving out soon into my apartment and the kitchen has quite a peculiar nook I'm not sure how to utilize, so I'm coming here to ask for tips and tricks : )

We're still not done with the painting so it looks slightly messy with the masking tape and uneven paint layers, but generally it will stay pretty much like in the pictures. Since the windowsill is very wide and sturdy (and the window is SW facing!!) I was thinking of creating a little makeshift herb garden there. But the open shelves and that nook under the windowsill itself I'm having troubles with. I don't necessarily need it for storage, the kitchen has enough cabinets for all I need and then some, but it feels weird to just leave it empty! And also it is a decently small studio (about 380 sqft/ 35.5 sqm) so I would like to utilize all the space I can.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi! I'm 20F, soon starting to move into my first apartment. I'm struggling with planning the furniture placements and would appreciate some help from people who actually know what they're doing haha!

I like a bit of funkness in my decor, I have a beautiful chrome and bright red plastic chair from my mom from the 80s, and I'm 100% bringing it in there and incorporating it one way or another.

The bathroom was just recently renovated and I designed it - with the help of my greatest assistant, mom, of course - which I'm super proud of! Its most prominent feature is a blue accent tile (shade named "forget-me-not", so imagine a shade like the flower, a light blue leaning just a bit green). It might not match the bright red tones I've been thinking of for other parts of the apartment, but I'm down for some chaos if there's at least a visible attempt of getting it to look cohesive.

Due to security reasons, I hand drew the floor plan and gave some measurements I've gone to do at the apartment. Also, the windows have nice thick windowsills, though the smaller one is not really accessible due to the weird kitchen cabinet layout, plus it's pretty high up. But the big window one can definitely work as a sort of "dining table" or a reading nook (it's very comfortable!!).

And mostly I'm struggling with where to put the furniture, so if you're only into the puzzle-esque part of interior design, this is your time to shine :D I'll have a small bed (probably 80x200cm, should fit into the alcove) and I need a big closet as the apartment doesn't have any built-in storage apart from the kitchen cabinets (and now some cabinet space in the bathroom). Also I have a HUGE desk for my gaming setup - with my PC it'll be probably around the same size as my bed, so 80x200... though I can make it more compact if necessary.

I really appreciate any help!!
