Dentists — would you use an overhead light with a built-in camera?
Hey everyone,
I’ve noticed quite a few operatory lights with integrated cameras being showcased at dental expos lately, and I’m curious about real-world interest beyond the showroom.
For those of you who’ve seen or tried them:
Would you actually consider buying one for your practice?
Does it genuinely improve your workflow, or does it feel unnecessary compared to intraoral cameras?
What would make you choose this over your current setup?
If you decided not to buy — what held you back? (cost, usability, positioning, image quality, etc.)
Trying to figure out if this is something dentists truly want, or if it’s more of an “interesting but not essential” kind of product.
Would love to hear your honest thoughts.
