Which financing options are easiest to get approved for?
I'm getting ready to add another piece of heavy equipment to the fleet, but I'm stuck trying to decide what financing route makes the most sense long term. The monthly payment is one thing, but I'm more concerned about overall cost, cash flow during slow months, and not ending up upside down on the machine a few years from now.
The equipment would be used almost daily, so I'm trying to balance keeping enough cash on hand for repairs and fuel while still making progress toward owning the machine outright. I've heard some guys say shorter terms are better even with higher payments, while others prefer stretching payments out to protect working capital.
The units honestly seem like a practical option for job site offices, storage, temporary living spaces, or even mobile work setups. With the cost of portable structures going up these days, discovering a lesser-known brand that still offers good functionality could be a smart find.
What really stood out to me was how clean and functional the units look overall. I'd really like to hear some real-world feedback before auction day. Starting to wonder if this is one of those underrated brands that deserves more attention.
I spotted a SUNTOP G500 at auction and got curious. Looks like a solid option for landscaping, grading, and light site work, especially if you're not trying to spend big on major brands.
Hey guys, been browsing Ritchie Bros auctions lately, and it actually feels like there are still some solid deals out there if you look closely.
I was checking a recent auction and saw a 72" skid steer hydraulic grapple bucket go for noticeably less than what similar ones are listed for on Facebook Marketplace around my area. It looked in decent shape, too, nothing fancy, but definitely usable. Made me think there's still real value out there, especially on attachments.
I also came across a blog story about a buyer who picked up attachments way cheaper than Marketplace prices and was really happy with it, which lines up with what I've been seeing.
Curious to hear from you all:
- Have you scored any good deals recently? What did you get?
- Are attachments like buckets, grapples, or forks where you're seeing the best value?
- Any tips for spotting the good ones before everyone else jumps in?
Feels like with a bit of patience and timing, you can still come out ahead. What's the best deal you've picked up lately?
Just wanted to highlight how solid the process feels after winning a bid on Ritchie Bros. Everything, from payments to customer support to pickup/logistics, seems pretty streamlined and easy to handle, which really takes the stress out of the whole experience.
Feels like a lot of buyers are leaning on Ritchie Bros more this year, big inventory, easy online bidding, and pretty reliable listings.
For me, it's been a smooth experience overall, but I'm interested to hear what's really working for others this year.
I've been going through a lot of Ritchie Bros listings lately, and I've gotta say-the inspection reports look really detailed and well put together. It definitely makes browsing and shortlisting machines a lot easier.
