My baby is 10 weeks old and is a noisy sleeper. She has been sleeping in her bassinet next to me since she’s been born. I’m exhausted every day because I’m a light sleeper and have insomnia and every noise she makes wakes me. She’s also quite big for her age and scratches the sides of her bassinet when she flings her arms around, which is also noisy (she does this a lot and also hates being swaddled to stop the arm flinging). The lack of sleep hasn’t bothered me TOO much because I haven’t been working and my main concern has been enjoying my new baby.

Now, I’m about to go back to work. 12 hour shifts. I need sleep :(. I know it is early to move her to her crib in her own room now, compared to what I’ve been reading online, but is it a really bad idea? Her room is next to mine, I have a baby monitor with sound and camera, and the Owlet Sock. I would get to her quickly. I feel like I need to do this for the sake of my health and to be able to perform well at my job and provide for us, but I’m having anxiety about moving her. Especially with everyone online saying not to. This is my first baby so I’m still new to this, any advice is greatly appreciated!
