Free housing in Dordrecht vs commuting to EUR, Is the trade-off worth it?

Hi everyone, I’m an international student starting my Master’s at ESE this September. I have the lucky opportunity to live with some relatives in Dordrecht for free, which is obviously a huge financial relief.

However, I'm trying to figure out the reality of this setup. I’d love to hear from people with direct experience on:

The Commute: How is the daily trip to Campus Woudestein? Is the train/Waterbus reliable enough for a 5-day-a-week schedule?

Social Life: Is it hard to maintain a social life at EUR while living in Dordrecht? Do you feel isolated from the 'Rotterdam student vibe'?

Dordrecht Vibe: Is the city welcoming for international students, or is it strictly a quiet residential area?

Is the 'free rent' worth the 50-60 minute commute, or will I regret not being in a nearby area? Thanks in advance for any insights!
