Fake Alpinestars GP Pro R3 Gloves
I have recently bought my partner a pair of these gloves and was sent a fake pair.
I chose ebay uk because I couldn’t find his size anywhere else. The seller listed them as new with tags as well as them being genuine and official Alpinestars gloves. They have sold a quite fair amount of these gloves in different sizes and colours.
The seller had several listings up, over a decade old account, +3000 feedback as well as decent positive rating. He claims he gets the stock from a US wholesaler.
Upon getting the gloves I noticed they were fake, a very good fake, but they were tagged as being CE Level 1 (which is wrong), upon further inspection (wrong and missing labels and tags, as well wrong packaging and some wrong materials and sticking my, as well as missing internist Kevlar layer) and based off the seller answers I was sure they were fake (although the seller still claims he doesn’t believe they are).
He promptly offered free return and refund. Which I did.
But now I am not sured if I should leave a negative feedback. And if I should report his listings to ebay.
*I ended up going down a rabbit hole and a lot of people selling these gloves second hand on places like Facebook marketplace and Vinted are actually re selling these fake gloves as genuine (possibly unknowingly).
