


Obsessed/Huge thank you!/A+ Blauvelt NY/Question!
We got our new r1s this weekend. Got all the suggested accessories from my new Rivian “parents.” And the best part, me, my little guy and my big guy all fit so comfortably and we took a Mother’s Day adventure on our first day.
My son is obsessed with Gary, especially with the stickers, hat and coloring pages that the guys in the NY service center gave to me, to give him at delivery, despite him not being with me at pickup.
One question- if I want the car to stay on, say I run into a store with my son in the back seat and take my phone with me, how do I keep the car from shutting off as I walk away? Pet mode ? Cabin temp?
I cannot say enough about the customer experience with the Rivian guys at the Blauvelt NY delivery center. They were truly exceptional. When I got a text asking about my first day of ownership from one of the delivery managers, I gushed about the service we received. As a self proclaimed customer service brat. They set the bar.
Incase anyone is in NY, looking for a Rivian, here is what I told the delivery manager-
“Hi Ryan. I want to give huge praise to your team. From Lee who took me for my demo drive a few weeks back, put a bandaid on my son and made him (and I) feel incredibly comfortable, to Andre, to Christina and the rest of the crew that helped me with the trade in despite the title being in my dads name and him being unable to be physically present. I had wanted a rivian from the start but was unsure if it made fiscal sense and was planning to wait for the R2. I started to look at teslas and the comparison in customer service was, not even close to comparable. Lee stuck it out with me through texts and emails over a few weeks and offered to help me with my trade in.
Over the last two months, I spoke to Mercedes, Toyota, Hyundai, BMW and Tesla, no one was as helpful as your staff was.
They have tact and patience, and they know the product they are selling, without making me, a complete novice to car buying, (and a single woman) feel inferior or stupid. They all possess intangibles in communication and genuine spirit.
I love my car, but I will sing the praises of Rivian forever because of my experience with the whole team. Thank you Ryan! “
