Many ways to activate the parking brake (EPB?)

Hi,

It's been almost three weeks now with our Niro (the 2023 remodel) and we are enjoying it. But one thing that has been bothering my partner and I is that there seem to be maybe 3 (maybe even more) ways to activate the parking brakes.

  1. Coming to a full stop, and press the P in the middle of the gear shifter.

  2. Coming to a full stop, and use the EV button to turn the car off.

  3. Coming to a full stop, put the car into neutral, then pull the parking brake switch up.

Now, the dude at the dealership told us doing 3 is the correct way to park it, otherwise it was not actually applying some parts of the brakes. Idk, he told us it was at least different from the other two options.

I have tried to read the manual, think the brales are referred to EPB, and to me it seems that as long as the light for the brake is active... well, they are active?

I just want to park correctly when there is a proper incline. Help a fellow owner out please.

Many thanks!
