I will be up there today. Want to know which I should try. What do you recommend?

I picked it up the other day on a random errand for $110. It has strong oak notes. It has some fruit notes on the nose. It may be just me or the bottle needs to breath, because the mid palate some high proof heat, even at 97 proof. After letting it sit for a few mins, I picked up some tasty chocolate notes in the finish. If the 12 or 14 are amplification of these tasting notes, I'd definitely be willing to buy, but not at secondary prices. I haven't had JD No. 7 in many years, I'd be interested in comparing the two.
