STILL CRUISING EUROPE THIS SUMMER?

I was wondering if people are generally still planning for or have recently booked Mediterranean cruises for this summer.

Are you concerned about any further escalation of the Middle East war disrupting or cancelling your cruise... or indeed have any of you actually cancelled cruises yourselves because of it?

Just back a few days ago from a week on Enchanted Princess. During the week I decided to book a specialty restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. To be honest, I thought the $55 dollar per person charge was excessive, but I got my account summary email today and it shows that an additional service charge of $11 (20%) was added on top, actually making it $66! Crikey. Fellow Europeans, am I being miserable or do you agree with me that it is way too expensive seeing as we have already paid for MDR meal?

Over the last couple of days my E3008GT has been prompting me to do a May 2026 software update. It said it was for performance and would take 1 hour and 3 minutes. I pressed the start update button and left it. After 2 hours I returnedtothe car and turned it on. I got a message saying that the update had been successful and then suddenly a red triangle came on saying that there was a traction battery fault... do not drive. Then another warning came in about the steering and then another about something else. So i have 3 warning symbols, an orange spanner and a re triangle on the dash. The sat nav then came up offering me suggestions to the nearest garage! I turned it off and left it for 10 minutes, then tried again. Exactly the same thing. This is just the latest in a long list of issues. So, yet another call to the garage in the morning. If you are going to do the may 2026 update just be aware of my issues. Hopefully they won't happen to you.
