So, slight update to my earlier post where I ordered an untested 120GB player from eBay. It got here today, and physically, it's in (to me) surprisingly good shape for being used. The glass is pretty clean, and the buttons all click nicely, and the body has wear that I'd consider typical for something like this. However, I dropped it in my dock, and the dock lit up, but the unit doesn't seem to power on. Again, can't say I'm super surprised, they were sold as "untested, you get what you get."

Which leads me to my first question: will these even power on with a dead/deep discharge battery? If so, then it looks like I have a parts donor. If not, are there any other troubleshooting tips I should try before I consider ordering a different one? I appreciate any advise, thanks!

Hey everyone! I'm one of those who wanted a Zune back in the day, but couldn't afford one at the time. Well, I stopped by a resale shop after class, and found these two for under $10 together! The dock seems to work perfectly, and the player power on and functions, but the battery is dead, and there's an M&M-sized black spot on the screen. I'm torn on whether or not to try to fix the player (it's a 4GB), or just dig around on eBay to find a functional one with more storage, but either way, I think I'm finally going to step into this world!

Got all of these from the same shop this week, and paid less than $50 for all of it. I'm especially excited about the Planet of the Apes collection, Outlaw Star, and the Acorn sets!
