AITA for still being upset that my girlfriend chose to be prom partners with a guy I was uncomfortable with?

Hi guys, this is my first post ever, english isn't my first language so I hope you all still understand me.

For Privacy reasons, I won't reveal our names and ages. This happened a while ago, but I can't let go of how I felt until now.

AITA for still being upset months later after my girlfriend chose to be prom partners with someone I was uncomfortable with? I (F) have been dating my girlfriend, A (F), for a few years. A while back, a guy named B developed feelings for her during dance rehearsals because they were partners. My girlfriend knew I was uncomfortable with him, even after his feelings eventually went away.

This year, on the morning of our anniversary, our school announced that we will be partnering up for prom. Beforehand, I had already told my girlfriend that if she and B got paired randomly, I would accept it. But during lineup, I saw them signaling each other where to stand so they could end up together. I watched them walk onto the stage as partners, and my friends noticed it too.

I was devastated. I went to my classroom crying and eventually asked one of my friends to get my girlfriend so we could talk. During the conversation, she seemed annoyed and emotionally distant. She barely comforted me, only said “okay” when I asked her to at least have boundaries with him, then left while I was still crying.

Their pairing was final, so I had no choice but to accept it. Still, watching them dance together for prom hurt a lot.

Months later, we talked about it again. She told me I was only thinking about my own feelings and not hers. When I asked why she wanted him specifically, she said she didn’t want a partner who couldn’t dance well and told me I should trust her. But I do trust her. I still feel hurt that she knowingly chose someone I was uncomfortable with to be partners for prom.

AITA for still not being over this months later?
