First Hamster Habitat and Questions

Hello! I wanted to reach out to get some advice on my new friend Eevee.

Please be patient as I'm new to hamsters and want to do right by her. She came with a temporary cage and some bits and I'm itching to get her into something suitable asap.

I believe she's a winter white dwarf hamster but I will need confirmation from anyone who knows better please.

I am looking to get her a suitable enclosure asap and need suggestions for things available in the UK. I'm used to gerbils and they have very specific requirements for tank requirements. Though my gerbs used a big heavy class tank and I'm hoping that perhaps I can go for something lighter, but still of a generous size. (Even some pics of example set ups for hamsters of the same size)

For their diets, I see a lot more available specific to hamsters but I want to know if that is all okay (as my experience with gerbils shows a lot of companies try to say hamster diets are suitable for gerbs, which is wrong, and a lot of advertised gerbil products are unsuitable for gerbs. Is it the same situation for hamsters?)

What can they have in their enclosures and what is fun and safe for them? Gerbs chew anything and everything constantly so I have to be mindful of the materials I use in their tank but are hamsters more flexible to use different things?

And is there anything behaviour wise that I should be aware of? And any tips on building a bond and helping her feel comfortable and loved please?

Thank you for your time and advice in advance 🩷
