Proof of Strength 8???

I am once again confused at what I'm supposed to do on these levels. The explaination is to use Alert attacks, so that's what I do. I bring my alert characters. I set up my alerts. And then I kill all the units on the board. But it leaves units spawning in the next turn and the battle doesn't end. So the next round starts and I try again. Again I setup my alerts and everyone dies, but the battle doesn't end because of spawn next turn icons. They spawn again and we move into another round, but now my alerts are on cd or I at least have less of them. This just constantly repeats. The enemy doesn't stop spawning and no matter how many times I clear them all out, the battle doesn't end. I'm still stuck on stage 1 and I simply don't understand what I'm supposed to do.

Stuck on Proof of Strength 7-7

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I use Kiya to apply her reverse healing on the caster. I check and it says the debuff is good for 2 turns. But then the caster goes and the debuff is removed. I checked his skills and he doesn't have anything that clears debuffs, so I don't understand why it is clearing off. And since it clears off, he just heals himself ridiculously

What is the secret to getting Aether in Infernal Hordes

I don't really understand what I'm doing wrong. At Torment 7 I can practically instant kill most things that spawn, and if I drop down to Torment 6 I definitely instant kill. The problem is, that doesn't seem to matter. Despite obliterating everything as fast as possible I still barely manage to net 400 Aether for the council chest at the end, let alone 666 (which I've only hit ONCE in my entire attempts) + another 400 to fight the duc and open his chest.

I always pick Chaos towers if they appear. And the rest of the time I try and focus on Hellborne or Aether Fiend towers

EDIT: Not knowing about 10 waves via the keys makes a huge difference.

So we can fire at the end of every enemy turn. No more worrying about will they/won't they charge. Just a simple, are they in range. Although no Titanic means you can't have that Supremacy armor go on overwatch. Alas.

Recently picked up POE1 and have been going through it. Recently came across a conversation where I noticed there were several different options that weren't available but told me what I needed. One of them was simply, Chanter. Well, Kana is in my party, so I backed off and reinteracted with the skill check specifically with Kana, but it still wouldn't let me use the Chanter option. Seems really poor design if my party is literally standing right there and I can't use their abilities on checks like this.

For years, I've heard glowing reports about this game and how amazing it is. As it was always RTwP, I skipped it, but with the recent turn based combat option and a Steam sale, I finally picked it up. At this point I'm into I guess the beginning of Act 2 and...I'm just not really feeling it. It's not a bad game, but I seriously have to question how people found this to be a masterpiece of storytelling.

Despite being into the second act of the game, I have no real agency for plot movement. I'm apparently a Watcher and trying to find out why. But there's no real sense of why this is an issue. I met one guy who apparently went crazy because of his Watcher powers, but other people of talked about Watchers with both resepct and disdain, so there's no real gauge on whether or not I should be worried about my powers, despite that being the driving force for plot progression.

Everything else seems to just be random happenstance quests. Literally talking to random people and they ask you to do something because you happen to pass through. And my companions seem to be rather superfluous. Durance and Eder are the only ones who ever actually offer insight on anything. Kana will periodically talk but its usually just inane "wow that's interesting" vibes. Aloth and Sagani have barely spoken 3 words (and Aloth has been in my party since almost the start).

Again, the game plays well. Combat is decent and the classes are interesting. I guess I'm just wondering when the story actually gives you a reason to care about what is happening.
