hi! new on career and would love to receive tips from anyone in concept/illustration/freelance area!

I've been drawing and trying to work in the field for a while now, but I only really started taking the idea seriously about 5 years ago. I don't have a specialized course in the area here in my country; currently, I'm looking to work with concept art and illustrations, so I've always been self-taught in that regard. Since I want and intend to work as a freelance artist, it would be great to receive some tips from people who have worked or are working in the field! My main questions are:

-How did you start? Is there a specific study path? A routine? Like, "Oh, I want to work with characters, so every day I'll study certain fundamentals and then draw a character, and then repeat the same thing every day."

- Is it possible to work in both illustration and concept art? It's a question I constantly have because I would REALLY like to work that way, but I never know how to study and prepare a portfolio for it.

- How does one start? How do I find a "direction" to follow the thought "okay, I'm going to do this and that to achieve this goal."

- How do you create contacts with each other?

- What is your daily study and production routine like?

-how to actually get better at it and achieve industry level

-any book/course indications?

Thank you very much for your attention! English is not my native language, so the reading may sound a little rough, but thank you for reading anyway!
