okay so i've been going back and forth on this for days and i need outside opinions because i'm losing my mind lol
cost isn't a factor at all so please don't bring that up — fully covered, no loans.
Penn State Erie → 2+2 University Park (Smeal)
- spend first 2 years at Erie campus, then transfer to University Park if i hit the GPA requirements
- graduate with a Penn State Smeal degree which is ranked way higher globally
- but if i don't make the GPA cutoff i'm stuck finishing at Erie which is way weaker
- higher risk, higher reward
Michigan State Broad (#24 undergrad business)
- main campus from day one, huge Big Ten school
- earn Broad admission after freshman year
- worst case i still graduate from MSU which is still solid
- lower risk, consistently strong outcome
goal is a strong finance career and eventually a top MBA program. sure ig i'm academically driven but also want a real college experience.
which would you actually choose and why??
i want a campus that actually feels alive, big school energy, sports, social life, parties, things to do, the whole experience. but i also want a degree that actually means something for finance and sets me up for a good MBA later.
