Healthcare worker in PA: missing work for snow isn’t really an option.

Looking at a 2026 AWD Charger R/T vs staying in a truck/SUV. I don’t care much about the fun factor here (I already know it will be); just looking for honest input on:

  1. Snow/slush performance vs an SUV/truck
  2. Ground clearance issues
3.Real-world “would you trust it to get to work no matter what?”

Running proper winter tires is assumed.

Would you do it again in PA, or go back to an SUV?

**Takeda NAS 210mm Gyuto- ** Minimal use. One dinner prep, two garlic mincing sessions. Less than an hour of actual board time. Factory edge. I see the appeal, but it’s just not my style. Maybe I’ll revisit at a later date. Never sharpened or stropped.

Purchased for about $600 after taxes. **$old** out the door.

**Kagekiyo W1 210mm with Red Aragoshi Lacquered Handle- ** Light Use, saw two dinner preps and a pepper slicing fiesta that I actually showed during my NKD post about it a year or more ago. As is traditional of White steel, it patinas immediately and aggressively. Factory edge. Never sharpened or stropped.

Came from Miura in Japan. Paid about $500 after everything to get it. **$old** for y’all.

**Konosuke BY B1 225mm- ** BNIB. Factory fresh. Never used, sharpened, stropped, nothing. I bought this as a spare, thinking it was a White steel to match my user. Ended up with a blue steel. This one has more mid weight dimensions. It’s a tad heavier and a tad thicker in the choil than my W. I opted to store it to save for when I am eyeballing something else. That time is now.

I paid $636 after taxes. Shipped to your door? **$old.**

I have references, both here, KKF, and Knife Swap (for folders). If I know you and we’ve done business before we can arrange payment however you prefer. If not, PP G&S is all I’ll accept.
