Buyee requesting return without contacting me.
Extremely frustrated, and I usually defend Buyee here because a lot of issues can be boiled down to people not understanding proxies.
Recently shipped some clothing with FedEx. I guess that was my first mistake, I usually go DHL, but it was cheaper and I knew the risk. I was prepared to get all my paperwork in order.
I called today because of a minor "Clearance delay - Import" notice on the tracking. This appeared but was soon followed with an "On the way", so I assumed it wouldn't be an issue, but I wanted to be proactive.
Imagine my surprise when I was told repeatedly that the shipper had requested the package be returned! Apparently FedEx requested paperwork from Buyee (which I sorta expected), but instead of telling me, they just requested a return without even letting me know.
Fortunately I think I caught it early. I was able to tell them not to do that, that I'd provide the paperwork, etc. I'm really hoping they don't return it, but good fucking lord, what the hell? Funny how Buyee always wants to act like it's not the shipper, oh it's just a proxy, but in a situation like this they're happy to go past me to request a return, not even giving me a chance?
And by the way, the paperwork was fabric composition and a drop ball test. I had ALREADY provided the drop ball test to Buyee support on Discord, again as a matter of being proactive and because they asked. That whole process took several days, but apparently for nothing, because they couldn't be assed to provide the drop ball test to FedEx when asked. Then why bother asking me for it??
Super lame. To be cynical, it feels like Buyee wants a return so they can collect their outsized shipping fees once again and make money, but I don't even think that's true. My guess is that Buyee's garbage automated email customer support just automatically requests a return anytime a courier mentions anything about paperwork.
