Under the ACL suppliers of goods can be liable for damages from defects or contraventions of consumer guarantees, but how does this apply to sellers on their platform? Is Amazon still considered the supplier because they "run the marketplace" or are they absolved from any liability resulting from product defects because they do not sell the item themselves? What about if they ship the item?
