I have my iPhone in which my WhatsApp have been hacked and till now unable to get back despite writing numerous email to WhatsApp support. My phone eSIM is with me and have local backup to iCloud for my WhatsApp.

If I purchase a new eSIM with a new number and add into this iPhone will I be able to retrieve my chat history that is local and residing on iCloud ?

Some year back on my other iPhone I remember ever slot in a new eSIM and saw all my WhatsApp history appear immediately after register. Can someone advise how this work ?
