I need some guidance on what to do. My father got his WhatsApp account hacked April 1st. From what he told me someone called him posing as someone from a group-chat he is in telling him to send some code. And unfortunately he sent a code and know he’s unable to
log back into his WhatApp account.
Every time i have tried to log him back into his WhatApp account and receive a sms code it doesn’t work and the last time i tried it made me wait 12 hours.
I think i have tried to contact WhatsApp support about 4-5 times trying to speak to a human and i keep running into an AI bot sending me articles. My dad has a lot of other elderly people in his contacts, and i’m worried these individuals might fall for the scam messages because this scammer is actively texting people and asking them to zelle them money.
If anyone has any knowledge on this and can help me please let me know. The articles i’m seeing are telling me to wait 7 days. If anyone knows a way around this please let me know, but if not i’ll just continue to wait it out.
Fucking shit app. Here is a shitty “meta ai” chat bot that u cant hide but no you cant bulk leave groups. Fucking shit app. Telegram is so much better.
Because 1. The app doesnt lag and take 10 mins to load when you have lots of chats and 2. You can delete chats quickly
I was having issues with my version of WhatsApp (couldn't unmute people) and so I backed up everything and uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
when I log in, it just refuses to show me my Google accounts. I've uninstalled and reinstalled like 4 times today, given the proper permissions, restarted my phone, cleared app data, forced stop app, even downloaded a slightly older version and still nothing. when I tap add account it says "you can't sign in, this account is already on your device." so I remove the account, and sign in through there, and guess what? NOTHING HAPPENS! it's infuriating and I just don't know what to do anymore.
That notification in the taskbar is for this message I've clearly read but won't go away. Anyone know how to fix?
Bonjour, Actuellement, j'ai 2 téléphones avec un seul N° (une seule carte sim). Sur le 2ème téléphone, j'ai mis le même n° de téléphone sur whatsapp que le 1er sur android. Le pb c'est que si j'utilise le 1er téléphone en mode wifi, le 2ème téléphone est déconnecté de whatsapp. Comment faire pour que whatsapp fonctionne sur les 2 téléphones en même temps ? Ich verstehe nicht wie ich dieses Problem lösen kann, ich möchte ein Backup von meinem WhatsApp Business Account machen, er zeigt mir aber an dass ich Platz auf meinem iPhone frei machen muss was bei 90gb aber unmöglich ist.

Bom, cerca de uns 2 dias atrás eu recebi uma mensagem de um desconhecido no meu whatsapp e apenas ignorei, achei que a pessoa tinha apenas errado o número, nem cheguei a responder, até que ontem enquanto eu estava na academia e cheguei em casa e abri meu whatsapp, apareceu que eu tinha enviado mensagem para 10 pessoas com número de estados diferentes do meu e que eu faço a mínima ideia de quem são, e aparece que fui eu que mandei a mensagem só que não carrega fica aquela mensagem de - Aguardando mensagem. Essa ação pode levar alguns instantes -, ai mais tarde outra pessoa me enviou outra mensagem mandando apenas um Oi, e eu perguntei como conseguiu meu numero, e apenas visualizou e não respondeu, hoje de manhã quando eu acordei aparece novamente umas 20 conversas de pessoas desconhecidas aparecendo que fui eu que enviei a mensagem e o mesmo aviso de que está aguardando a mensagem, o que pode ser? já verifiquei e não tem nenhum dispositivo logado na minha conta, nem web whatsapp nem nada, recentemente não foi pedido nenhum código do whatsapp, isso tudo está muito estranho.

I was restoring my data, but got kicked out of the app. And this caused me to lose all my chat data.
Like literally. All the chats I had previously look clean. As if I just recently installed the app.
I haven't done anything after that because I'm scared I might mess something else up.
Someone please help 😭

The initial message was sent by me in late march (message i did not send) and was deleted, and i just received a response last night that was also deleted. There are a lot of messaging apps now. Some people stick with WhatsApp because everyone they know uses it, others prefer alternatives for specific features. I still mostly use WhatsApp out of habit. What do you prefer and why?
The microsoft opens and close automatically when i try to update it but i couldn't so i just deleted it and now i can't install it cuz whatsapp have microsoft store link even on official site, so for now i just logged in to web version but i want to make calls

basically i logged into one of my old friends emails when we were bros. since, i have logged out, but now i cant seem to get my name to change on the bit where i message myself. ive checked my actual contacts, which has my number under the right name. my whatsapp user is also the right name, and im not connected to him in any way so how do i get it to be MY name?
i got added in a sketchy group with a ton of phone numbers, all from different countries. that never happened to me before, so it seem weird to me. it was 2a.m. as said on the screenshot, so kind of late. who are the people behind those?
