I have been noticing some dealerships using AI-generated videos to advertise

I have seen some local dealerships on Meta and TikTok using AI generated videos of people and their vehicles as another form of advertisement. Like how desperate and/or creatively bankrupt do you have to be.

God, I hate AI.

Anybody else have seen these as well?

Edit: apparently some classical redditor arguing is occuring below.

With Spring semester 2026 coming to a close, what were your best and worst professors

Best: My ethnics professor. I learned a lot and was very engaging with the materials and spoke on his experiences as a minority. And because I am applying for an internship at a law office, he gave me his blessing to add him as a reference since he is also a lawyer.

Worst: My online German language course. Professor was completely disorganized. Duplicate assignments, lessons with wrong due dates and Canvas assignments and quizes improperly built where you can't interact with them. We generally have our lessons of the week starting on Sunday, but multiple times, she opened them up later in the week, despite multiple emails of asking about them (as confirmed by a few students).

She also gave false promises for extended deadlines because of her mistakes opening them up. Three assignments and two exam that she had forgotten to assign, she promised no late penalty after its Sunday due date, but ended up grading them 50/100 today lol

Also, she misgraded today's exam that I didn't even take: 0/100 lol

Definitely getting a negative survey and a talk with the department chair.

Family of deceased Army Soldier reach out to me after their death

I was in the Army. When I was in Korea almost a decade ago, we had a former Marine in my unit. He was in the Corps between 2010-2014, got out as Corporal (Cpl) and tried to be a working man, but reenlisted in the Army in 2017 as a Specialist (SPC).

Guy was definition of a jarhead, but later turned out he was a piece of shit. Never cared about his or his Soldiers' progression, bullied and ridiculed them and when they would ask him for help - peer or subordinate - he would never come through. His signature response when you would say hi to him was "fuck off". Worst Team Leader I ever had and he was my second one after my first got demoted lol

As a TL, then eventually not, he got counseled multiple times because of how he was acting to his leaders. Just a major piece of work. He was facing an Article 15, but I assume nothing ever came of it because he was close to PCSing. That was the last time I ever saw him.

I learned that he committed suicide last week. His parents reached out and tried to contact anyone who was stationed with him. I found that strange because I was never friends with him on social media; hell, he denied my friend request a year after we left.

He RCPed in 2022 as a SPC, went back to his home state and started a couple of businesses. However, because of the economy and family drama, his businesses closed between 2023 and 2025, lost a lot of money, got divorced and more. According to my friend who was stationed with him in 2020, he still acted like an asshole over there and had gotten in trouble for equal opportunity for treating his female Soldiers like crap.

His parents asked us to send any pictures or write something about him for his orbituary. We were also cordially invited to his funeral if we were able to find time to travel there.

Because I have nothing positive to say about him, how should I inform their parents?

Their net joins have been down this quarter and as a result, put a hold on their Black Card price hike and their reviews of what the consumer wants.

In the meantime, PF will continue their expansion efforts and try to see if they improve next quarter. Since they had a huge bump last year at its peak price being $114.47 a share last summer, will it bounce back?

Just wanted to get some assistance.

Last week, I was banned on a sub for a supposed "ban evasion". At first, I was unsure how or why because I have never used an alt account and I have been a frequent contributer to the sub. About an hour later, I was sitewide suspended for seven days. The subreddit ban occured minutes after I had commented on a post while I was connected my college's Wi-Fi. After some researching, it has been known that using the same Wi-Fi connection a different redditor was banned on can trigger a false flag to another user.

The sitewide suspension ended, but I remained banned on that sub.

I inquired to the mods about an appeal. They are informing me that I can appeal the suspension after it ended and sent me the reddit.com/appeal link. However, it won't let me do anything because I am no longer suspended. The only way the sub would reverse my ban if I submit the appeal form to reddit.

Is there something I am missing or not understanding?
