Help please. We have a new, 1 year old rescue Havanese and he eats well but I have never seen him drink water in the 10 days we have had him. We have tried all sorts of waters, bowls, you name it. We are giving him cucumber, watermelon, apples, on the basis that they are high in water, and adding broth to all his food (which is chicken, vegetables and rice cooked in chicken broth). Has anyone had this? What are we doing wrong? Also, what is the largest Havanese anyone has had? This fellow is 20 lbs and gaining some weight (was very thin when we got him). Is that unheard of? I have only encountered small, 7-10 lb Havanese. Thank you.
