I made a post 3 yrs ago that almost kinda called it when it was about the future of RWBY. My main thesis was that RWBY was going to have a hard time getting vol 10 greenlighted and they messed up royally but not mapping out the story and planned everything. RWBY was saved by the skin of their teeth when it got bought by Viz media. But I will hoeever say that the episode count probably got cut and they will most definitely have a rush ending resulting it to feel underwhelming when they resolve EVERYTHING too fast. I bet they will end it there and then announce a web graphic novel spin-off that explores the world and characters.
RWBY wasn't saved by the studio or executives of these media companies but rather from the rabid support of the fans who just want to see this series end on a high note. We'll probably get an announcement stating s10 will be released late 2027, if not that time early 2028.
