I've officially joined the "pregnant with fibroids" club. My uterus is currently the size of a 5-month pregnancy thanks to one 8cm, two 4cm and one 3 cm fibroid and most likely more.
A hysterectomy isn't an option for me right now—I live alone with my dogs and can't manage the downtime or miss that much work.
My FSH is 77, so I’m technically post-menopausal (not sure how that can be seeing as my last period was in Feb) and waiting for nature to take its course, but my doctor said to expect a very slow 5% reduction per year! 😟
I want to be proactive while I wait. I’m curious about women my age (51) and what has worked for you:
- EGCG/Green Tea: Has anyone had success with this for bulk reduction?
- Inflammation: Any specific anti-inflammatory diets that helped with the "heavy" feeling?
- Castor Oil: Is this effective for the discomfort, or just a myth?
I’d love to hear from anyone else who chose to "wait it out" after menopause. How did you stay comfortable?
