What are some of the worst tree/vegetation damage recorded from a tornado?
While it’s a bit more of an uncommon choice, these photos of the tree damage from the 1999 loyal valley F4 stands out to me. The trees in these images are mesquites, which are well known to be one of the toughest and most durable hardwood trees. Complete debarking from the tornado is apparent and some of the trees are stubbed down to ground level. The ground scouring on the hillside in the first image, reinforces the tornado’s violent intensity.
What other tornadoes have had extremely violent level of tree and vegetation damage recorded?
