Hello everyone!

I'm one step away from buying all the parts for my first build and I want to see public opinion if its able to run and work all together. For context I wanted a pc that is mostly "futureproof" since I develop VR sims i want to be able to work on unreal/unity with no problems and game with good graphics and keeping the all white aesthetic under $3.5k USD.

My one and only personal concern is if I am able to wait 1-2 months and get all the parts at once or if I should get the micro center bundle asap and wait to get the rest of the parts later since it is a deal.

Hey guys!

Finally looking to upgrade my whole setup after using the same cyberpowerpc prebuilt i got in 2018. i’ve only upgraded the ram + storage, replaced thermal paste, and cleaned it regularly, but it’s starting to struggle with newer games. As a vr engineering student, i really need something stronger, hoping to build a system that’ll last me another 8+ years

! new build !

existing parts (willing to replace/ buy new ones for the build):

  • OLOy DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) 3200 MHz
  • Crucial BX500 2TB SATA SSD
  • already have monitors (not looking to replace)

pc purpose:

  • primarily school work + developing VR sims (be able to run Unreal / Unity)
  • gaming at good graphics settings

purchase location:

  • united states, not super close to a micro center but very willing to make the trip!!

budget:

  • ~$2,000–$3,500

connection:

  • wifi

size/noise constraints:

  • no size constraints, but would prefer a quieter build

color/lighting preference:

  • mostly (if not all) white build

other notes:

  • Heavily considering the HYTE Y70 TOUCH case but haven’t bought it yet; open to other case recommendations
  • Also heavily considering the TRYX PANORAMA cpu cooler; open to other cooler recommendations
  • need help choosing: cpu, cpu cooler, motherboard, gpu, fans, power supply, etc.
  • WiFi or wired connection?
