Is this email legit?
Hello everyone, needing some peace of mind. My gmail was hacked in late feb but as of yesterday it was removed from the hacker’s family group so I was able to recover it without being forced to request approval.
It had been disabled since April 23rd. When I recovered, I made sure that no sign in sessions were active. I made a new password, added new recovery email and phone etc and added 2FA. I also verified my age to be over 18 appropriately.
Everything has been ok since I recovered it yesterday but then I received this email just now and I am very wary, as when I was hacked, it was in a moment of panic when my discord was hacked and I approved joining a family throughan official looking google email, by mistake.
Is this email legit? I find it hard to believe given I verified my age as 18+ yesterday. It seems out of place for google to say “since you’re a teenager”. It could just be an error but again I doubt it.
Either way, I’m NOT gonna click the Try it out button, but I’m curious if others have ever received this sort of mail. I wonder if the hacker is attempting to steal my email again by posing as Google officially lol. The handle is no-reply@accounts.google.com
