[Hobby] [Unreal Engine] Looking for 2-3 partners for a short, atmosphere-heavy indie horror game ("Overtime")
I’m a developer who is slowly learning Unreal Engine and game development. I am working on a single-player horror game titled "Overtime" built using the Bound Horror Framework.
Concept of the Game: "Left Behind"
You are part of a maintenance crew dismantling an old, decommissioned utility line. Due to a communication error or a radio glitch, your crew packs up and locks the surface hatch, not realizing you were still deep down in the pipes fixing a valve. To get out, you have to find an alternative emergency exit route, forcing you into a terrifying, un-clocked "overtime" shift just to survive.
Because the character is completely isolated and dealing with a broken radio, the game features no voice acting—relying entirely on dead silence, echoes, and environmental storytelling.
Team Roles Needed:
- 3D Environment/Prop Artist: To help design or curate modular tunnel wall kits (concrete/brick) and industrial/utility props (pipes, valves, broken machinery).
- Sound Designer: To focus on heavy tunnel echoes, dripping water, metallic clangs, and terrifying spatial audio cues.
- Game & UI Designer: To help map out the pacing of the scares, balance flashlight mechanics, and set up the Main Menu/HUD layouts.
My Role: I will act as the Lead Technical Developer, handling the framework implementation, blueprint trigger box logic, and core gameplay programming.
Project Scope: This is a hobby/portfolio-building project aiming for a short, highly polished 10-to-15 minute gameplay loop. Beginners and fellow learners are incredibly welcome—let's learn, build, and finish a small game together!
