Solid first harvest

Went out Tuesday for a little forage with my wife.

Good yield on a new patch I recently found a couple weeks back. Should be good for generations..

Solid sustainable harvest hopping around from cluster to cluster picking mostly leaves and some bulbs along the way, making room for seed to grow new plants in the coming years.

Kept an eye out for morels but nothing of course..

Found some false morels though!

Might pickle this first batch of ramps we harvested as I’ve never done that yet..

Got my years worth of ramp powder all done for the season might harvest a little more as last year it didn’t last me a year. Got a little greedy with seasonings ;)

So we just opened up our 5th wheel for the first time this year and our carpet in front of our fireplace was soaking wet. Curious if anyone has had this problem in their 5th wheel? I’m thinking it’s maybe a roof leak and dripped down the inside of the wall. It looks like some bubbling started by the fireplace indicating potential water seepage or maybe that bubbling happened from the heat vents. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated no I don’t have pictures currently.

Been traveling to southern Wisconsin for eyes.

Last stop was down in Menominee and put the hammer down.

Nothing of great size but 20 of these since Friday.
