Best resistance bands for a garage gym setup?

I’m putting together a basic garage gym and resistance bands seem like one of those things everyone says are worth having, but once I started looking there are way more options than I expected.

Mainly thinking for assistance work, warmups, mobility, maybe some accessory exercises, and possibly even as a backup if I can’t use weights for something. I’m not trying to build an entire training setup around bands, but I do want a set that’s actually solid and not the kind that starts fraying or snapping way too soon.

I’ve seen people mention Rogue, EliteFTS, Serious Steel, and a bunch of cheaper random brands, but it’s hard to tell what’s actually worth paying for versus what’s just branding.

For those with garage gym setups, what bands have held up well for you and what would you buy again?

Good resistance bands for bodyweight fitness?

I’ve been getting more into bodyweight fitness lately and I’m thinking resistance bands would be a good add-on, mostly for assistance work, mobility, warmups, and maybe making some exercises harder.

I’m a little lost on what kind to buy though. There are the long loop bands, tube bands with handles, fabric bands, cheap sets on Amazon, and then more expensive ones that all kind of claim the same thing.

I don’t need anything super fancy, but I also don’t want bands that snap after a few weeks or feel weird to use. For people who use them regularly with calisthenics/bodyweight training, what brands or types would you recommend?

Apartment-friendly blender for morning smoothies?

I’m trying to get back into making smoothies at home, but I live in an apartment and the blender noise is the main thing stopping me. My current one is old and ridiculously loud, and I always feel guilty using it early in the morning.

I mostly blend frozen berries, bananas, oat milk, protein powder, and sometimes ice, so I need something that can actually handle that without sounding like construction work. I don’t mind paying a bit more if it really is quieter, but I also don’t want to spend a ton just because the marketing says “quiet.”

Has anyone bought a quieter blender that they actually like? I’m especially interested in ones that still blend frozen fruit smoothly and don’t make the whole apartment vibrate.

Quiet blender for smoothies that won’t annoy my neighbors?

I’m looking for a blender mainly for smoothies, but I live in an apartment with pretty thin walls so noise is a real concern. I usually make smoothies in the morning, and I don’t want to be that person blasting a jet engine in the kitchen while everyone else is still asleep.

I don’t need anything super fancy, but I do want it to handle frozen fruit, yogurt, protein powder, and maybe some spinach without struggling. I’ve looked at a few “quiet” blenders, but it’s hard to tell what’s actually quiet versus just quieter than a normal loud blender.

Has anyone found a blender that works well for smoothies and is reasonably apartment-friendly? I’d love to hear what you use, how loud it feels in real life, and whether it’s actually worth the money.
