Hi! The HVAC that came with our house is old (the outside unit) and does not work great but the furnace in our attic works well. We have decided to install 3 mini splits: one in our living room and one in each of our two bedrooms. My question is can I just close the vent from the old HVAC system for now or do I have to seal it? And how much will it cost to remove the unit? I am thinking of just getting rid of the outdoor unit and keep the furnace or should I just remove both? I am in SoCal, thanks for reading!
