I’m currently studying at a career college in Ontario and I applied for OSAP. My funding has already been calculated, but I’m still waiting for the money to be released.
It’s been about a month since my classes started, and I believe my school should have confirmed my enrollment by now, but there hasn’t been any update yet. Because of this delay, I haven’t received any of my OSAP funds.
The last update I received was an email about an adjustment/amendment on April 8, which I signed. That’s been the most recent notification so far.
Last month, I contacted my school and they told me the ministry can take around 6 to 8 weeks to review documents.
I’ve heard that delays can happen, especially with enrollment confirmation, but I’m not sure how long is “normal” in this situation.
Has anyone else experienced delays with OSAP while attending a career college? How long did it take for your funding to be released after classes started?
