Needed: Classic Gunsmith to perform sight change on Browning BL-22 lever action rifle.

I’m looking for a gunsmith who works on classic lever action rifles who can replace a front dovetail sight on my Browning BL-22.

The factory sights on this gun are very tightly fit. So far, the gunsmiths I’ve taken it to have told me that they are not comfortable or equipped to do the work.

Beyond Griffin & Howe, can anyone direct me to someone who is proficient on working on a rifle like this?

Thanks in advance.

MAC 9 feedback on reliability and performance.

Can anyone share feedback on a MAC 9 2011?

Is it reliable? Did it perform well? I have not heard from anyone who has actually shot one and would appreciate the input.

Thank you

Caution! Real ID may link your DL to concealed carry status!

PSA. While attending a US Law Shield meeting, it was communicated to me by one of the reps, that they were personally identified as a concealed carry holder by hospital staff when scanning their real ID upon accessing the hospital.

Allegedly they were explicitly asked at the front desk if they were “currently carrying” immediately after their Real ID was scanned. The rep stated that they have never been asked this question by the hospital prior to having a Real ID.

Take it for what it’s worth. Stay safe.

$30 Savior double rifle bags at Costco still available.

Friendly PSA for those who could use one or three.

Visited my buddy who picked up a new Citadel Boss 25 for under $300 and we broke it in with 250 rounds of 00 Buck, Then ran 30 slugs through it for good measure.

Unfortunately this state frowns on this configuration. In any case if you find yourself able to legally put some rounds through one, you won’t be disappointed.

I was told that when he got home and stripped it, it was very clean inside which is another plus.

Good day,

I’m considering drilling and tapping my new S2 dust cover to add a thumb rest.

Has anyone done this and can share “lessons learned”?

I have tapped other steel (including stainless) many times, have a drill press, gun vice, tap oil and proper taps.

Thanks all.
