Imperial Japan book suggestions.
After reading Adam Tooze’s Wages of Destruction I have been trying to find works on imperial Japan’s economic situation pre & during - ww2. Anyone got any recommendations? Like where did they source their raw materials for such a large navy? How did their financial system support this etc etc. What did their war-industry look like and how did they sustain it for close to a decade…
Looking for any book/journal recommendations :)
Edit: Thank you very much for the suggestions! It’s greatly appreciated and they look like good places to start. :)
