Hello all. I’m a 23 year old female who doesn’t smoke and is relatively healthy and active. I was told I definitely need my bottom right wisdom tooth removed (going to try and get them all removed if possible to prevent future complications). It’s erupted and has a gum flap on it. I have been having small amounts of soreness and pain in it over the last few months, and I got a routine cleaning last Wednesday. Since Saturday I have been in a lot of pain with swollen gums around the tooth and now into my jaw. I am thinking it’s infected and I’m going to make a dentist appointment. I have a wisdom tooth surgery consult in June. Until then, what can I realistically do for it as I know it will probably keep coming back until extract?

And what can I do for it now? It even hurts to eat yogurt.

Thank you!
