Help finding my deceased father’s old social media/digital footprint (Asheville, NC - 2013)
Hi everyone,
I am looking for help finding any old social media profiles or digital memories of my father, David Lee Trammel Jr., who lived in Asheville, NC.
He passed away in July 2013, and since it’s been over a decade, I’m struggling to find his original accounts. I only have one photo of him (attached) and his official obituary. I'm hoping to find old posts, comments, or photos he might have shared to feel a bit closer to him.
Known Details:
- Name: David Lee Trammel Jr. (sometimes went by David Jr.)
- Location: Lifelong resident of Buncombe County / Asheville, NC.
- Dates: April 1972 – July 2013.
- Family: His wife was Shawana and his mother was Clara Collins.
I have checked the major obituary sites (Legacy and Anders-Rice), but I haven't been able to find his actual Facebook or any old forum accounts he might have used.
My Questions:
- Does anyone from the Asheville area remember him or know what hobbies/groups he might have been active in online?
- Are there specific local Asheville archives or "Old Asheville" groups where people from that era might have shared photos?
- Does anyone have tips for finding "ghost" profiles from the 2010–2013 era that may have been memorialized?
