How many of you pentest your own network?
I’ve got an old laptop I’m considering using with Kali to try and attack my own network for fun and help confirm my precautions actually work. Hoping to hear success stories of others doing the same.

There will be a retirement ceremony with BN formation on Friday at 1630. Wear your ASU’s. We also need everyone to kick in $10 for a plaque and guidon flag. Area beautification activities will be ongoing through the week leading up to the event.
I am new obviously, but I see a post every now and then about some new compromised service or supply chain attack. is there a place that is good for tracking this sort of thing for software I’m using?
I’m happily plugging away at my network security and filling in gaps when it got me thinking.
if someone hellbent on destruction scans my network and gets telltale signs of security, do you think it could be something of a challenge they want to accomplish? If not just for the challenge, does it represent more useful hardware that they are willing to invest the time breaking into?
I know this is all theory and speculation but it could be a fun discussion.
