So I bought a pre-built CyberPower PC on black Friday from Best Buy for $1700. It was defective from the start (stuttering constantly), and then I finally brought it when it started to blue screen.

The only thing they could do was send it to manufacturer, so I had them do that. Manufacturer sent it back broken, went back to Best Buy, same thing, "we have to send it back to the manufacturer". Ok, sent it back again, then after a total of about two months without the PC, the manufacturer said it's unrepairable.

I went into Best Buy and all they can offer me is a store credit for the purchase price. I told them that doesn't seem fair, I had a defective product from the start and spent two months waiting just told be told its unfixable. They wouldn’t budge.

I'm still trying to escalate the scenario. I want either an equivalent replacement (but the same PC is about $2400 now since theres no sale and RAM prices have went up) or a refund. I would much prefer an equal replacement, and I think that is the most fair solution.

Are there any steps I can take to be made whole? Would love any advice. Feel free to tell me there is genuinely nothing they can do as well, but I think this whole situation is messed up.
