Severe GAS cleanup: Keep the OM-5 for hiking, or consolidate into Fuji X-T5?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently dealing with severe GAS. Lately, I’ve been buying and reselling cameras like there’s no tomorrow. I guess my brain is just compensating for the lack of actual shooting time by compulsively buying gear. But I really want to break this cycle and settle down.
After all this wandering, here is my current lineup:
Ricoh GR IIIx (An absolute keeper for EDC/street)
Fuji X-T30 II (Definitely selling this one)
OM System OM-5
My main use cases are travel, mountain hiking, and some street photography.
Here is my dilemma: I love the OM-5 for hiking, but I hate managing multiple systems. I’m torn between keeping the OM-5 as my main outdoor/travel body, or selling both the X-T30 II and the OM-5 to buy a Fujifilm X-T5 to have a single, weather-sealed system alongside my Ricoh.
For those who hike or travel with the OM-5, would I deeply regret moving to an X-T5 in terms of weight, size, and weather sealing? Or is the X-T5 good enough to be my "final choice" and end my GAS for good?
Looking forward to your insights!
