Tamiya 1966 beetle model kit

Get this thing so low for the people that want the slammed look. So on the front beam I cut it in half and trimmed each side until it was perfectly narrowed, then glue the pieces back together. Finally carefully bent the link arms up until perfect height. The rear spring plates I cut a small line (do not cut completely in half) and move up the axle part where the hub/wheel goes, then I glued it in place. Used tamiya fine cement since it dries super fast and clean. Then I used crager wheels and tires from the 1964 impala lowrider kit and topped off with original vw caps

Finally had time today to get my Nova done. This was really a fun build and not once did I get frustrated. It went together so well and all my ideas worked on this one luckily. Custom forest green mix I did with a black vinyl top, shaved down some of the bumpers to make it look cleaner, used flocking under the hood for realistic padding, Aoshima wheels, added “real” hose for the radiator too. Definitely going to be getting more of these kits.

I finally found the Tbird discounted, it was open but everything is there luckily. I found flocking at a ridiculous sale price and everything else kinda “fell” in the cart 😜
