Subsequent pregnancies ❤️

Hi all ❤️ I am 9 months PP, I was diagnosed with sever Pre-eclampsia at 33 weeks (I'd been swelling severely for a while so I assume I had it before that) and had to stay in hospital as an in-patient until my baby was born at 36+1. It was extremely traumatic, I was on labetalol every 3h, as well as Nifedipine and Mag drip after my C-section. Did the painful steroid shots in my leg etc etc.

That hospital stay was the most beaten up I have ever felt in my life, it took me so long to even recognise myself in the mirror when I finally got back home...

I have always pictured myself having more babies in the future (the dream is 3) but I am so traumatised and scared to go through the same again :(

I just wanted to ask what everyone's experience was with subsequent pregnancies? Were they healthy? Did you have preeclampsia again? Did you do anything to attempt to prevent it?

I would love to know your experiences if you're open to sharing? ❤️

Anyone's mum obsessed with other people's weight?

I grew up with her constantly commenting on my weight, I was always told that if I ate sweets or crisps, or anything unhealthy I'd go fat.

When I first went to University and came home for Christmas the first thing she said to me was "when's the last time you did any sports?"

I developed a horrific eating disorder in University and she told me I looked great ❤️

I had my first child last summer and when I was 20 weeks pregnant I called her on FT super excited because my belly had finally popped a little (I finally "looked" pregnant) and when I pulled up my top to show her, she said "oof yeah you've kind of let yourself go"

She is always asking me stuff like "has *julia* (fake name) finally started losing some weight? She looks awful." Julia is a U.K. size 10 btw.

Everytime I call her, she will mention wanting to lose some weight "I really need to lose 4 or 5kg before the baby's birthday" (she's already tiny and only ever eats peanuts and cashews)

I actively don't answer her when she mentions weight anymore because it drives me up the wall...

Hello! We moved to Cardiff (Pontcanna) from London last year and have a small baby in our rented flat.

We're thinking of buying next year (we were thinking around Llandaff since it seems like a fantastic area) but I'm now thinking about potentially Penylan?

What are the best areas (peaceful, nice cafes, restaurants are a plus, parcs)?

Would definitely need to be somewhere safe and nice with lovely neighbours too ❤️

Thank you
