Currently have a 12x14 poured concrete patio. I am looking at expending the space and looking for feedback as the new concrete addition will not match the existing. Option 1) add 12x7 section to the existing pad which would give me 12x21 feet of space but would have a noticeable difference between the 2 sections old and new. Option 2) have a 3 foot perimeter poured around the existing slab. This will still not match the color but would look more symmetrical like you are “framing” around the existing. This would give me 15x20 of space.

Any thoughts on this being done? Attached is what the 2nd option would look like.

Looking at adding an additional 12 feet by 7 feet onto our existing patio. Would be 4 inches thick. What is the rough price per square foot for something like this?

Looking to calibrate here on proper expectations for a builders warranty.

We have lived here for 5 months and have noticed pretty significant squeaks in the subfloor in particular areas. I understand as the house settles these things will come about but the severity of the squeaks seems excessive

Would you expect a builder to address these types of issues under warranty? NOTE- our basement is unfinished with access to the backside of the subfloor.

Looking for recs on a noisy furnace exhaust pipe that is mounted to the joists with plastic hangers. When the furnace kicks on there is a resonating hum heard/ felt in the room above.

If anyone has any tips/ tricks to isolate these it would be greatly appreciated!!

*in the photos I started with laying rockwool insulation down and it didn’t seem to make a difference.
