Steven has so many of his star shirts because they were all the unsold Mr. Universe shirts. I'm just now realizing that they were all red before likely because the smaller ones for children were all red where as after the time skip he's grown taller and now he fits a few sizes up. I'm gonna take a semi educated guess and say he probably moved from something like a children's large to an adult medium. So maybe all the children sized are red where as adult sizes are black. We already know the XXL shirt Greg gave rose was black with a whole different "Mr. universe" design instead of the star.
Moltres's wings used to blend together way better with the fire. It looked like he was made of fire rather than being on fire.
Crobat needs his gnarly underbite from the stadium games. Much more menacing and emotive. Now he just looks bored all the time.

Idk what it is with modern Charmander but he just looks so... I don't know... Sanitized? And like they shrunk his nose. He looks weirdly human with his new flatter face. Also they got rid of that little spike on his back. Put it back. I like my pokemon a little lumpy.
Regardless of what you think of the whole jynx thing, changing bellossom was silly. She used to be the same color as the rest of the oddish family and now she completely sticks out. They don't even look related anymore. And unlike jynx it wasn't even black. It was dark blue. But did they make it slightly lighter blue? No, they made it like mint green. Booooo.
Diglett used to be very clearly furry. And I mean why wouldn't he be? He's a mole. Moles have fur. Now personally I'm convinced diglett still has fur but just like Pikachu or cyndiquil they don't feel the need to draw the fur. You should just mentally understand that these things have a coat of fur. But since they never draw the fur anymore some people don't believe me when I say diglett has fur. Not alolan diglett. I mean regular brown kanto diglett. He's mole. Not just some fleshy hairless toe.
My last post got pretty popular so I decided to make this follow up post to add a few more pokemon whom I liked something about them that got removed. Some of these were also said in the comment section of the last post, so if you mentioned any of these changes then thank you for the input.
Give Lapras their teeth back. If that's just too scary then make them retractable like donkey Kong when you wanna show lapras's cute side.
I liked articuno better when they were a slightly darker blue with bigger puples and irises. Looked more regal and bird like to me. Now it's eyes make it look kinda humanish. Bring back it's sparkle effect from snap too.
Bring back goalbat's tongue. It looks empty without it.
Torn on this one but I kinda vibe with dratini's stripes. Makes it synergize with dragonite a little better.
Outside of like cards, does gloom ever open it's eyes anymore? It's big shocked expression when in danger felt like a big aspect of it's design early on.
I liked mew better when he was so light pink that he was almost white but he had darker pink lowlights on his tail and toes. This design actually stuck around for a little longer than some of the others but it went away some time around gen 3. Boooo. Gen 1 has enough Peptobismol pink pokemon already. Plus aren't mew's hairs so fine you can see them on a microscope? I think that if he's got white coloring it's like he's kinda like holographic. If he's pink it's like you can see through the hair and the pink is actually us looking at his gross cat skin through his fur? Ewwww. Jk. But still. Change it back.

They are alligned with their first appearance even if it's not necessarily the first appearance of "the version" of the character that appears in smash. I know dark samus got a cameo in Metroid prime's 100% ending but I counted her as Metroid prime 2 which I never played. If I counted Metroid prime 1, which I did play, I'd put her bottom tier because I was not having fun playing Metroid prime. Sorry.
