This is a joke right? Grace needs help to solve this? Is it not like 6 possibilities on total?

If the machine had a safety against guessing or like 10-15 buttons to give thousands of possibilities I would understand, but like this I don't understand some of the decisions of the game writing.
Edit: In this same room there is a note giving the code away, in my case it was Sun-Sun-Moon-Star, this is why it would take 6 combinations to solve it.
