Red Wings fan here - Thoughts on this Shane Wright trade for more offense?

Hey all, I’m a Wings fan curious about your take on a potential Shane Wright move. It feels like Wright might need a fresh start in a new system, and Seattle seems to want more dynamic offensive firepower especially on the wing to reset their youth without a full tear down to push for playoffs.

Since we can’t move Raymond or DeBrincat, and a Larkin/Wright swap doesn't quite align for either side given Larkin’s got a NMC and likely would only waive it to get traded to a current contender, what would you think of this package to help Seattle build a more skilled group with immediate answers to help next season?

Seattle receives: Max Plante (NCAA), Amadeus Lombardi (AHL), and Andrew Copp (NHL).

Detroit receives: Shane Wright.

Fit for Seattle:

Max Plante (Top Piece): Our top prospect and this year’s Hobey Baker winner. He’s an elite playmaking winger (think Nick Schmaltz) and has high point potential on a top line with other high end players on the wing. He’s going to be returning for one more year at Duluth to play on a line with his brothers, then he could potentially join Beniers late next season to give you guys a young high end wing with vision.

Amadeus Lombardi: High speed and high skill winger who just put up 42 points in 47 AHL games after several high point seasons that preceded it between AHL and junior. He’s ready for the NHL at this point and will be a 23 year old RFA this summer but is blocked in Detroit. He would bring speed and touch as an NHL middle six guy. Plus, he’s named after Mozart and his Dad played in a band, so Seattle seems like a cool location for him where he could be a nice young player that adds to your other young mix of guys.

Andrew Copp: A proven, two way 3C to stabilize the lineup while Berkly Catton develops. Had a very productive season playing on the Red Wings 2nd line between Patrick Kane and Alex Debrincat. He’ll be on the last year of his deal giving Lambert a productive veteran for a playoff push who can also PK and offer contract flexibility afterward if he sticks in the bottom six, immediately replacing Wright’s spot.

Overall, you guys get two upside offensive threats and a reliable center vet, while we take the swing on Wright’s reclamation in midst of Larkin’s pending departure. I know it’s not exactly Lafreniere for him one for one or a Kyrou type from St Louis as immediate offensive firepower, but thought it could be a good way to grab quantity blended with high upside potential in Plante.

Thoughts?
