A couple more from All Saints Church in Turkdean: a ghost door in the south wall, and further along the remains of a small Norman doorway with lovely old tympanum

The second is described as 'reset upper portion of a small Norman doorway, with a roll moulding on cushion capitals, diapered tympanum, and abaci and hoodmould with saltire crossed; renewed lancet either side' so it may not have been it original position. It is a glorious hodge-podge of architecture from various epochs

I spy with my little eye.....really odd feature, half a Norman arch halfway up a wall, All Saints, Turkdean. Must have been a door here once and the church radically changed over the years

The ultimate ghost door? Nothing left but the curved overdoor and the gate. Cheltenham, UK

I sometimes call this patient zero as I just don't think you can get more ghostly than this door

Incredible ironwork on this small church door partly obscured by the bird screen. Think this is St Marys in Bibury, Gloucestershire

Some ancient ghosts in the gutted interior of Appuldurcombe House, Godshill, Isle of Wight. The name means 'the valley where apple trees grow'
