Here are some puzzling accessories that can make puzzling easier:

Sorting trays

Stackable trays like these let you sort by colour or section, keep everything contained, and sit neatly when not in use. They're especially useful for 1000-piece puzzles where sorting is half the battle.

Optionally if you don't want to spend this much, you can also use these A3 foam boards as stackable trays. I have also taped 4 of these in the past to make a makeshift puzzle table/surface!

Puzzle Box stand/ lid holder

Simple idea, surprisingly useful. A stand props your puzzle box lid upright at eye level so you can reference the image without craning your neck or picking the lid/reference poster up every two minutes. This has been my favorite upgrade.

Puzzle Mat

A puzzle mat gives you a dedicated solving surface that's non-slip, easy on the pieces, and crucially lets you roll up and store a partially completed puzzle if you need your table back. Worth it if you don't have a dedicated puzzle space, which is most of us. I have used this to roll up and store puzzles for days, and it holds the WIP puzzle just great. When you ready to get back to the puzzle, just unroll and dive in. Just make sure you get one that has the filler balloon in between, else the pieces will fall off when you roll/unroll the mat.

Only thing is it's a bit prone to getting dust if you use it directly on the floor/rug, so better to slide a foam board underneath. It you are using on a table/bed, no issues at all.

Happy Puzzling!
